About me

I've always loved great design and I've always had a passion for plants, so I don't know why it took me so long to become a garden designer. Happily, I've now been designing gardens successfully since 2002. I graduated from the prestigious Garden Design School with a distinction.

I'm based in Kingston-upon-Thames and work mainly in London and Surrey. But I've completed many other projects, private and commercial, further afield in the UK and
Northern France.

I'm pleased to say that many of my commissions stem from personal recommendations.

What I do

Some clients give me free rein in the garden: others have a very clear idea of what they want. So the service I offer is very flexible. You can cherry pick the bits you want and decide how involved you’d like to be in the process. And, at every stage, you can be confident that I’ll keep you up to date on design detail, budget and timescales. If I need to call in specialists in any field I make sure they’re fully qualified, reliable and take pride in a job well done.

If you are interested in design or design and build, this is fully explained on the Process page.

What will it cost

That depends on the brief and the size and complexity of the job so it’s impossible to generalise. Indeed some costs may not be obvious until after the survey is done.

So it’s not surprising that many people approach the idea of using a garden designer with trepidation, fearing that the project will escalate out of control along with the costs.

That’s why I offer a no-obligation initial consultation that’s completely free of charge. And why I’ll present you with an honest and transparent fee structure and keep to an agreed budget. For maximum flexibility you can also opt to use all or just part of the services available. These are explained fully and priced accordingly.
